Rose Hotel Rooftop Pool Now Open

The Rose Hotel Yokohama in the middle Yokohama Chinatown has opened its rooftop pool and jacuzzi  #ROSEBEACHCLUB  from May 14th to September 30th for overnight and day guests. In 2022 a mini pool for toddlers will also be available poolside together with the family daytime and nighttime pools from 7PM. Day use coupon tickets, which can be used up to 10 times, will be sold again in 2022.

Cheapest (& Best?) Pancakes?

OK, got your attention?Meringue Hawaiian Cafe has some of the best value, delicious pancakes in Yokohama! If you head there before 10 AM on any weekday, pancakes are just 100 yen each or 200 yen for a set of 3 with any drink purchased! Now of course the fancy Hawaiian coffee may set you back 600 yen, but the value combination is worth it!Our recommendation if you have kids - the kids can order kids drink which is just 100 yen, meaning they'll have the best time for 200-300 yen! These pancakes are no joke, and you'll struggle to find better options at any other cafe.Of course, they have a full menu with eggs, bacon, and other breakfast items.Give it a taste, and try and arrive a little early as there may be a short line in the mornings. There are a bunch of locations but our favorite is in Minatomirai, just a short walk from the Nissan building. Google Map > https://goo.gl/maps/pSRNYpxV517e9jbB9

Yokohama - The Comeback City

Did you know that Yokohama has been completely destroyed twice before in history and has come back both times to reclaim prominence in Japan? It was leveled by the Great Kantō earthquake in 1923 and then again in World War 2.Both times, the city was reduced to rubble and rebuilt using the very same rubble as the foundation for new land.In fact, the whole east side from Yokohama station through to Motomachi is built on reclaimed land. Now don't worry, we are sure that those were historical events never to be repeated, but know that as you walk around, in fact, you are walking on a rich history in Japan.

Dream Drive - Building, selling, and renting campervans.

“Whenever I recall and share childhood stories from growing up in the UK and Australia, they almost always begin with a road trip. I had to ask myself “why? why do most of my most memorable childhood stories begin with a journey, and why have I not been making these memories here in Japan? While working in an office in Tokyo for about 10 years, I came to the realization that many Japanese are traveling and experiencing RV road trips abroad in the United States, Australia, Europe, etc. but not doing so in their own country. Japan is in my opinion one of, if not the best country for free-spirited road trip travel as the roads are safe and there are thousands of clean toilets and onsen all throughout the country. My dream with starting this company was to not only build great campervans but also help put Japan on the global map as a top road trip destination.”
